Prairie Sky Crop Solutions is one of the leading agriculture input suppliers and aerial applicators in Southeastern Manitoba. We are looking to add multiple quality individuals to our team for the upcoming growing season.
This role would include working closely with our fleet of spray planes and aerial applicators throughout the spraying season. On top of aerial application this role includes shipping and receiving of agricultural products, general yard and equipment maintenance, and general farm labour. We offer competitive wages based on experience that is inline with the Canadian Agricultural industry.
This position is open to any experience or education level. The role is ideal for agricultural students to gain experience in the industry also for young pilots who are interested in working in aerial spraying in the future.
Responsibilities will include:
· Mixing chemical as needed for spraying by air or ground
· Support of aircraft and pilots for aerial application
· Operate and help maintain farm and transport equipment
· Assist in seeding, spraying, and harvesting during the growing season
· Shipping and receiving of seed and other agricultural products
· Yard and shop maintenance
Qualifications:
· Hard working individual who can succeed in a team environment
· Valid class 1 driver’s license with air brake endorsement is an asset
· Mechanical experience is an asset
· Experience maintaining and operating farm equipment is an asset
· Flexible to work evening and weekend hours as needed during the growing season
· Follows safety and PPE procedures and guidelines
Term: Summer employment from June to the end of September (Start and end dates are negotiable to accommodate schooling)
