Job Responsibilities
· Perform comprehensive preventive maintenance on trucks, including battery service, oil changes, fluid checks, and full system inspections to ensure reliability and up time.
· Inspect and assess critical vehicle systems, brakes, wheel ends, steering components, heating and cooling, and emissions to ensure safety, compliance, and proper operation.
· Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using advanced diagnostic tools such as engine analyzers, handheld computers, pressure gauges, chassis charts, and other shop equipment.
· Use a variety of tools and equipment, including pneumatic tools, welding equipment, hoists, jacks, and hand tools, while following safety procedures.
· Conduct test drives to verify vehicle performance, identify issues, and confirm repairs, while repairing and replacing components and ensuring all work meets factory specifications through measurement and testing
Job Skills & Qualifications Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 310T License required
- Experience working with diagnostic computers
- Previous experience as a diesel mechanic
- Driver’s License required
