Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Osteopath to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide holistic patient care, utilizing their expertise in osteopathic manual techniques to promote healing and well-being. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a thorough understanding of medical terminology and case management.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history review and physical examinations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing osteopathic techniques
- Provide patient care that addresses musculoskeletal issues, pediatrics, and acute conditions
- Maintain accurate charting and have some experience using JaneApp
- Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members to ensure clarity of treatment goals
- Educate patients on health maintenance, injury prevention, and post-treatment care
- Manage time efficiently to accommodate multiple patient appointments daily
- Stay current with medical terminology updates and best practices in osteopathic medicine
- Participate in marketing activities such as photoshoots in order to effectively promote them
Qualifications
- Proven experience or background in clinical settings preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, case management, and patient care procedures
- Strong communication skills
- Familiarity with JaneApp, charting, and Gmail
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently
- Certification or licensing as an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner is required (BC, Canada); additional qualifications or experience with TCM, energy healing modalities or related fields are advantageous
Pay: $90.00-$110.00 per hour
