Currently hiring for a licensed Journeyperson plumber. For the chosen applicant, 6 months accommodations will be provided if selected applicant has to move from another area
This position is responsible for performing a wide range of plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks in both residential and commercial settings. The Journeyperson Plumber will work independently and as part of a team, ensuring all work is completed to the highest quality standards and in compliance with all relevant codes and regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including:
- Water supply and distribution systems
- Drainage and sewer systems
- Fixtures (sinks, toilets, showers, etc.)
- Heating systems (boilers, radiators, etc.)
- Water heaters
- Troubleshoot and diagnose plumbing problems
- Perform preventative maintenance on plumbing systems
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Operate and maintain plumbing tools and equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Journeyman Plumber's License (required)
- Strong knowledge of plumbing codes and regulations
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects
- Valid driver's license and history without DUI's.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, and stoop for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
- Ability to work in confined spaces
Working Conditions:
- Work in a variety of environments, including residential and commercial buildings
- Exposure to varying weather conditions
- Potential exposure to hazardous materials
