Job Overview
We are seeking some skilled Heavy Duty Mechanics to join our clients teams.
The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting, with experience working on Truck & Transport, Mining, or Construction equipment.
This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operational efficiency. The Heavy Duty Mechanic will play a critical role in supporting our client's operations, ensuring safety standards are met, and minimizing downtime through proactive maintenance and troubleshooting.
Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on heavy machinery and industrial equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using schematics and analysis skills
- Repair or replace faulty components, and repair electrical systems
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities using CMMS systems
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards during all maintenance activities
Requirements
- Alberta Journeyperson or Interprovincial Red Seal as a Heavy Duty Mechanic
- Proven experience as a Heavy Duty Mechanic in Truck and Transport, Mining, or Construction industries.
- Strong diagnostic skills in hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Ability to analyze complex mechanical and electrical problems quickly and effectively
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a customer service-oriented mindset
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to industrial maintenance operations
- Strong communication skills in English for clear documentation and team collaboration
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments
Pay: $42.00-$55.00 per hour
