Summit Veterinary Pharmacy is currently looking for a Registered Pharmacy Technician to fill one full-time vacancy in our busy Pharmacy Operations Department.
Located in Aurora, Ontario, Summit has been supplying prescription compounded medications to veterinary clinics across Canada for over 20 years. Principle Responsibilities:
- Accept verbal prescriptions as outlined by the Ontario College of Pharmacists
- Respond to messages and make the necessary call-backs
- Assist with the organization of the“24 Hour” and “Back Order” bins
- Verify and sign all approved areas within the Pharmacy
- Assist with maintaining Kroll’s organization (active/non-active drug cards, etc.)
- Re-train compounding Assistant’s when necessary (CQI incident, etc.)
- Answer non-therapeutic questions assisting the Pharmacists
- Perform other related duties as required by management
Preferred Skills:
- Kroll prescription software knowledge is an asset, but not a requirement.
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- Computer literacy
- Customer service/telephone etiquette
- Great initiative and problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a group
- Meticulous- willing to learn and work in a constantly changing environment
- Be punctual and maintain a good attendance record
- Bilingual (French/English) is an asset
Educational Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associates degree, Trade or Technical School Diploma
- Registered as a Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
- Fully Insured
Hours of Work:
- Monday to Friday 10:00am to 6:30pm (Subject to change)
- May be required to work additional hours
Pay: $27.00-$30.00 per hour
