Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Handy Man to join our facilities maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting tasks across our manufacturing and facility operations. This role requires strong mechanical, electrical, and technical knowledge, along with leadership qualities to supervise maintenance activities and ensure smooth facility operations. The Handy Man will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety, functionality, and efficiency of our facilities while providing excellent customer service to internal teams.
Responsibilities

- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on equipment, machinery, and facility systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural issues using schematics and technical manuals.
- Operate and program programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to support manufacturing processes.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and manage inventory.
- Conduct welding repairs and fabrications as needed to maintain equipment integrity.
- Assist with electrical repairs and installations, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Supervise maintenance staff or contractors during specific projects or tasks, providing leadership and guidance.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams for various repair tasks.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding maintenance status and issues.
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience in facilities or manufacturing maintenance roles.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in welding, electrical systems, and general repairs.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and CMMS software is preferred.
- Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints accurately.
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance procedures within a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent customer service skills when interacting with internal teams or external vendors.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to supervise teams or contractors effectively.
- Good communication skills in English are essential for clear reporting and coordination.
- Relevant experience in manufacturing or industrial facilities is highly desirable. Pay: $17.80-$25.00 per hour
