We are currently seeking reliable and safety-focused Drivers to join a well-established steel solutions company with over a century of industry experience. Drivers will be responsible for transporting goods and materials while maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials safely and efficiently
- Tarp, secure, and inspect cargo to ensure safe transportation
- Conduct pre-trip, post-trip, and daily vehicle inspections
- Monitor vehicle performance and report maintenance concerns
- Complete driver logbooks, inspection reports, and accident/incident documentation
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company safety policies
- Assist with production duties as assigned
- Provide professional customer service when interacting with customers and team members
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of safe driving practices
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment
- Class A/AZ Driver's License
- MUST be able to drive automatic/manual
- Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
- Commercial Vehicle Operator's Registration (CVOR) Certificate
- Air Brake Adjustment Certificate
- Experience hauling steel or similar materials
- Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work in hot and cold temperatures
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to perform vehicle inspections and secure loads
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
