SCHEDULE: part time, 20 hours/week, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. Occasional Monday/Friday, dependent on program needs.
SALARY: $17-$21 per hour
LOCATION: Travel throughout the Interlake-Eastern region to regional schools; office spaces in Selkirk & Pinawa; remote work from home for administrative duties & throughout the summer

The SADI Program (Sexual Assault Discussion Initiative) is an educational resource designed to support schools across the Interlake-Eastern region of Manitoba. Through engaging, age-appropriate workshops, the program aims to promote healthy relationships, increase awareness of gender-based violence, and build resilience among youth.
The SADI Youth Program Facilitator is responsible for delivering workshops to students in Grades 6, 8, 10, and 12 on topics including healthy self-esteem, gender identity, media literacy, internet safety and exploitation, mental health and trauma, healthy relationships, and sexual violence.
IN THIS ROLE, YOUR FOCUS WOULD BE:
- Delivery of school programming workshops to middle and secondary students in communities within the Interlake-Eastern region of Manitoba.
- Provide support and resource coordination to students, as needed.
- Research, develop, and present material related to workshop/project content.
- Complete workshop survey & evaluation analysis.
- Network with regional school staff.
- Coordinate special events at schools, as required.
- Work collaboratively with other Program Facilitators.
- Represent Survivor’s Hope at a wide variety of collateral agencies, networks, committees, stakeholders, and communities within region to build partnerships.
- Responsible for partial program resource allocation including purchasing program supplies and maintaining expense records.
- Keep clear documentation of activities and assist in compiling program reports for funders.
- Reports to Executive Director and SADI Coordinator.
WHAT YOU BRING:
- Relevant education/experience in the fields of Education or Social Services.
- Previous experience facilitating programs with youth, preferably from an empowerment model.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Child and Family Services Act, Personal Health Information Act and Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong intersectional feminist, anti-oppressive and anti-racist analysis.
- Awareness of and sensitive to issues of cultural diversity.
- Demonstrated understanding of the social and systemic root causes of sexual violence and the context of increased risk of violence and differential impacts of trauma for specific groups
- Experience coordinating services and working from an empowerment model.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively liaise with other organizations, develop and maintain partnerships.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written with ability to communicate complex principles / issues in plain language so others can understand.
- Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office Suite (word, excel, power point) and Google platforms.
- Ability to work independently, with indirect support, as well as contribute positively to a team.
- Knowledge of local community resources would be an asset.
- Valid driver’s licence and access to reliable vehicle required.
- Child, adult abuse check, criminal record, and vulnerable sector checks prior to start date as well as reliable reference statements are required.
