Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, ensuring a smooth and welcoming check-in process
- Present menus with enthusiasm, highlighting specials and upselling premium items to enhance guest satisfaction and revenue
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery
- Provide expert guidance on menu selections, dietary accommodations, and wine pairings to elevate the dining experience
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations
- Check in with guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction, address concerns promptly, and foster positive guest relations
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while maintaining accountability for all sales
Requirements
- Proven experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant environments with a strong background in food service and guest relations
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; OpenTable experience is a plus
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation standards, and food safety protocols within the food industry
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Strong sales skills with an ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximize revenue opportunities
- Previous experience in hospitality roles such as host/host or bartender is advantageous
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and billing purposes
- Culinary or kitchen experience is beneficial for understanding food preparation and presentation standards
