Part-time (20 -25 hours per week)
The Shop Technician supports the Shop Foreman in the maintenance, inspection, and repair of safety equipment and ensures the safe upkeep of the facility, company property, and yard. This role plays a critical part in preparing and maintaining H2S safety equipment and trailers to ensure operational readiness for field deployments.
The ideal candidate is safety-focused, mechanically inclined, reliable, and comfortable working in physically demanding and variable weather conditions.
Equipment Maintenance & Inventory

Inventory H2S equipment and report any missing or damaged items

Clean, test, inspect, repair, or replace H2S equipment (e.g., fittings, valves, SABA/SCBA breathing apparatus)

Operate B.A. compressor safely in accordance with company policies and procedures

Conduct equipment maintenance procedures at the field level
-
Load H2S trailers with required equipment based on job specifications

Notify supervisors of trailer and equipment status
Facility & Yard Operations

Assist in maintaining safety trailers, road block kits, breathing apparatus, and related equipment

Conduct nightly security checks of the building, vehicles, and related equipment
-
Perform hot shot deliveries to field locations and complete parts runs as required

Assist other personnel as needed

Complete additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management
Safety & Compliance

Arrive for work well groomed, alert, clean shaven, and on time

Report regularly to the Shop Forewoman or designate for daily tasks and forecasting

Work in accordance with health and safety legislation and company policies
-
Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE)
-
Immediately report any hazards, incidents, or unsafe conditions
-
Refuse unsafe work where danger is imminent or not controlled

Additional specific certifications may be required.

Valid, unrestricted driver’s license with full driving privileges for the class of vehicle operated (or higher)
