Temporary 3 month PT position with hours up to FT assisting clients in the Amherstburg area. This does have the potential to become a permanent position after the temporary contract has ended.

This position is a temporary 3 month part time contract with up to full time hours (32 wkly). Availability should include mon-fri PLUS every other weekend both sat and sun.
Starting pay rate is $23/hr and includes the government wage portion. Although this is community visiting it is paid like a shift, meaning you are paid your full hourly wage for the entire time you are booked, no mileage as this is shift pay.
This will be a mix of home to home visiting and longer visits in 1 home. You must be able to do both home care visiting and respite type shifts, no exceptions.
This position has 2 different shifts available, 3pm-11pm for afternoon OR 11pm-7am for night, again must be available for either time frame. You must choose 1 time frame only and all working days will be that time frame.
After the 3 month contract ends our partner has the option to hire you for a permanent full or part time position with them.
As this position includes home to home care, a G or G2 drivers licence, a reliable vehicle and insurance in your name are needed to perform this job.
A phone will be provided for work use.
Requirements:
Vulnerable Sector Police Check in the last year
PSW/DSW certificate or international nursing degree
CPR certificate
TB test results from within 1 year or chest xray from within 2 years
Must be double vaccinated for COVID
Drivers licence and reliable vehicle
Responsibilities:
Assisting clients with all aspects of daily living
Food preparation and/or assistance with feeding as required
Light housekeeping such as: dishes, folding laundry etc
