Responsibilities
Projects
- Coordinate resources including personnel, equipment, and materials
- Manage schedules and deadlines to ensure projects stay on track
- Monitor budgets and control costs throughout the project lifecycle
- Communicate progress with stakeholders, team members, and leadership regularly
- Interact with customers and suppliers to review project progress, resolve issues, discuss dependencies, etc.
- Document project activities and maintain detailed records
- Create and/or update Specification Design Documents (SDD) using Microsoft Visio.
- Run weekly project status meeting.
Timesheets & Expense Reports
- Review timesheets and expense reports to ensure accuracy in terms of dates, assignment details and expenses.
- Submit timesheets and receipts to Finance for payroll.
- Verify that submitted invoices are documented in customer’s weekly report.
- Maintain Excel templates to keep pricing and other business rules up to date.
Personnel
- Coordinate and assign resources based on availability and skill set.
- Maintain internal project-resource schedule.
- Manage direct reports including onboarding, requests and employee performance.
- Create, edit and post job opportunities on Indeed and/or LinkedIn.
- Review incoming CVs to assess candidate’s fit for position.
- Interview candidates for various job openings.
- Interact with customer project managers to discuss scheduling, personnel requirements and other project matters.
Security Clearances
- Initiate the required security clearance process for new employees, or the renewal process for current employees.
- Review applications to ensure accuracy as to avoid delays.
- Submit applications to respective agencies and monitor progress.
Other
- Review requests for tender from several sources (SEAO, Canada Buys, SAP Ariba) to determine if there’s a fit for Axsera.
- Every quarter, update ISNetworld statistics to maintain good standing with customers.
Knowledge and Competencies
- College or university degree in project management (or equivalent experience)
- At least 10 years’ experience in managing small to medium-scale projects involving many stakeholders
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Visio and other Microsoft Office Tools.
- Excellent business acumen
- Autonomous, dependable, detail oriented
- Fluently bilingual: English and French
Work Conditions
- The successful candidate must pass the required security clearances.
- Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 – 17:00
