Job Description
The Senior Solution Consultant will play a crucial role in supporting the Sage X3 product with both customers and the Sage partner channel. This role involves working closely with prospects, partners, and internal teams to drive revenue growth, ensure successful product implementations, and expand the Sage X3 business. The Senior Solution Consultant will be responsible for conducting in-depth discovery sessions, delivering product demonstrations, and participating in partner enablement activities.
This role is hybrid, three days per week onsite in our Vancouver or Toronto office.
Key Responsibilities
Product Support: Provide technical expertise and support during the sales process, including conducting product demonstrations, answering technical questions, and assisting in the preparation of proposals and presentations.
Discovery & Needs Analysis: Work with prospects and partners to understand their business needs, challenges, and objectives. Conduct detailed discovery sessions to gather requirements and align Sage X3 solutions with customer needs.
Partner Enablement: Collaborate with Sage customers and partners to enhance their knowledge and capabilities related to Sage X3. Provide training, resources, and ongoing support to ensure partners can effectively sell and implement Sage X3 solutions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, marketing, and product management teams to align strategies, share insights, and contribute to the overall success of the Sage X3 business.
Technical Leadership: Serve as a subject matter expert on Sage X3, staying up to date with product updates, industry trends, and competitive offerings. Provide feedback to the product management team to help shape future product development.
Customer Engagement: Build strong relationships with prospects and customers, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the sales process. Ensure customer satisfaction by providing timely and accurate information and addressing any functional concerns.
Revenue Growth: Contribute to the achievement of sales targets by supporting the sales team in closing deals and expanding the customer base.
Experience:
3-5 years of experience in a sales engineering or technical sales role, preferably within the ERP software industry. Comparable industry experience will be considered (i.e. accounting or operations role within distribution or manufacturing industry)
Demonstrated experience with Sage X3 or similar ERP solutions is highly desirable.
Proven track record of supporting sales teams in a pre-sales capacity, including conducting product demonstrations and managing technical evaluations.
Experience in accounting and/or distribution/manufacturing operations
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of ERP systems, particularly Sage X3, including its features, functionalities, and technical architecture.
Familiarity with business processes related to finance, supply chain, manufacturing, and distribution.
Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to changing industry trends.
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Other Requirements:
Willingness to travel as needed to support sales activities, partner engagements, and customer meetings.
Self-motivated, with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel domestically.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications: Relevant certifications in Sage X3 or other ERP solutions are a plus.
Industry Knowledge: Experience in industries such as manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain management is beneficial.
Strong Accounting Domain Expertise: including but not limited to understanding of GAAP and international accounting standards, consolidations for multi-national corporations, financial reporting, costing, closing process, sales taxation, and AP & AR automation.

The compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job‑related knowledge, education, and experience. Certain provinces in Canada require job postings to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range applicable to the role.
For this role, in those locations, the target salary range for new hires is $108,000 to $144,500.
In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either a bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role‑based commission plan. Our Talent Acquisition team will provide details on applicable incentive programs. The range listed is one component of the Sage total compensation package.
