Kraken Robotics is currently seeking a Electrical/Electronics Technician to join our team in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
Roles and Responsibilities

Perform basic soldering and wire routing as required for assembly.

Handle and position small components, wires, and connectors with precision and care to prevent damage and ensure proper alignment.

Working with high voltages during electrical integration of components according to schematics, drawing and assembly.

Complete testing of various assemblies throughout the assembly process.

Conduct inspections of in-process and completed assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Perform basic soldering and wire routing as required for assembly.

Record assembly data, complete production checklists, and maintain accurate documentation of work performed.

Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to maintain a safe working environment.

Notify supervisors of low stock or the need for replenishment of components, ensuring production timelines are met.

Identify issues with parts, materials, or processes and communicate with supervisors to resolve them promptly.

Conduct basic cleaning and maintenance of assembly tools and equipment to ensure functionality and longevity.

Work closely with Quality Control, Engineering, and Production Supervisors to address any production challenges and maintain workflow.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and maintain high-quality standards.
Qualifications and Experience

Diploma in Engineering Technology, or another Technical Diploma.

Experience in working with high voltages is an asset.

Physically able to lift and handle components up to 50 lbs.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and assembly instructions.

Basic soldering experience is preferred but not required.

Ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision and maintain focus for extended periods.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Ability to stand, bend, and work with small components for extended periods.

Ability to work Monday through Friday with occasional overtime as needed.
