Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Admin Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role involves providing essential administrative support within a busy surgical office, vein clinic and ultrasound lab ensuring smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with electronic medical records, specifically PS Suite, office management, booking OR's and OPD appointments and assist with in-office procedures. Duties
- Manage patient appointments, scheduling, and confirmations using electronic medical records system
- Manage and book ongoing patient appointments, testing and procedures
- Handle multi-line phone systems efficiently, directing calls and taking messages accurately
- Maintain and update patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Provide patient education for cosmetic vein procedures and process payments
- Prepare and organize paperwork for patient visits
- Coordinate communication between patients, providers, and other staff members to facilitate smooth clinic operations
- Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and inventory management within the office environment
Skills
Minimum 3 years experience as Medical Office Assistant
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems with excellent computer skills
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing patient information and office workflows. Strong communication skills with colleagues to achieve a team approach.
- Strong communication skills for front desk interactions and multi-line phone system management. Experience with compression stocking fittings and sales preferred.
- Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining professionalism
- Familiarity with office equipment and software including MS Office Suite
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced healthcare environment is preferred
