Duties
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service
- Oversee all aspects of food handling, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards
- Develop and implement menu items that align with restaurant concepts and customer preferences
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and control costs to optimize kitchen operations
- Train new staff on food preparation techniques, safety procedures, and service standards
- Collaborate with management on restaurant operations, staffing schedules, and customer service initiatives
- Serve as a role model for team members by demonstrating leadership, professionalism, and hospitality excellence
Experience
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Supervising experience in a culinary environment is preferred
- Strong background in restaurant management, team management, and leadership roles
- Knowledge of food safety practices and handling procedures in the food industry
- Demonstrated ability to manage kitchen operations efficiently under pressure
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to serve as an effective leader and team player
- Prior experience with menu development, food industry trends, and customer service excellence is advantageous
