Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to provide essential care and assistance to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for helping others and possess the skills necessary to support seniors and individuals with disabilities. Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide medication administration as prescribed, ensuring safety and accuracy
- Support clients with meal preparation and feeding to promote proper nutrition
- Engage residents in meaningful activities to enhance their well-being and quality of life
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and maintaining a safe environment
- Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals or family members
- Offer emotional support and companionship to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation
- Follow care plans tailored to individual needs, including dementia or Alzheimer’s care when applicable
- Assist with transfers, positioning, and mobility exercises as needed
Experience
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care environments is preferred
- Experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring dementia care is highly valued
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols is a plus
- Caregiving experience demonstrating patience, compassion, and excellent communication skills is essential
- Basic skills in cleaning and meal preparation are desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided if needed

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
