Pastry Assistant position
Type: part time , permanent, coverage for maternity leave
Are you a morning person with a passion for pastry? We're looking for a dedicated and reliable Pastry Assistant to join our team . This role is for someone with professional baking knowledge and experience .
What You'll Do
Bake off a variety of items daily for our cafe display cases.
Assist in prepping a wide range of pastries, desserts, and baked goods for both our restaurant and cafe.
Manage daily and weekly inventory for the cafe.
Maintain a clean and organized work station.
Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures.
Collaborate with the head chef and kitchen team to ensure smooth operations.
What We're Looking For
Early Mornings are a must: we start at 5 am
You must be able to reliably start early in the morning to get the day's baking done.
Baking Skills: You have a solid understanding of fundamental baking techniques. previous work in a kitchen is a must.
Attention to Detail: You're meticulous and can follow recipes accurately.
Team Player: You work well with others and are willing to help wherever needed.
Reliable and Punctual: You understand the importance of being on time for your shift.
Able to Lift: You can lift up to 50 lbs.
