Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full time Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care, promoting oral health, and supporting the overall efficiency of our dental team. Duties
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Take and develop dental radiographs as needed, ensuring patient safety and comfort
- Provide oral health education to patients, including proper brushing, flossing techniques, and dietary advice
- Assist with patient assessments, including medical history updates and vital signs
- Support the dental team during procedures by preparing instruments and materials
- Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix or similar dental management software
- Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed to maintain a safe clinical environment
- Address patient questions or concerns with professionalism and empathy
- Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to deliver comprehensive care
Skills
- Proficiency in Dentrix or other dental practice management software
- Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures
- Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve a diverse patient population
- Experience in dental assisting is a plus for supporting clinical workflows
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages
- Prior experience working in a dental office setting is preferred but not required
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
