As a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA II), you will:
- Prepare and welcome patients for dental procedures.
- Review and update patient medical histories and vital signs.
- Assist dentists during restorative, preventive, and surgical procedures.
- Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays).
- Maintain accurate patient records and charting.
- Sterilize instruments and maintain operatories according to infection prevention and control protocols.
- Prepare treatment rooms and dental instruments.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care.
- Coordinate appointments and assist with scheduling.
- Support insurance claims, billing, and administrative duties as needed.
- Respond appropriately to dental emergencies and provide basic life support when required.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with privacy standards.
- Participate in continuing education and stay current with dental technologies and procedures.
✔ NDAEB Certified Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)
✔ SDAA Level II Licensing
✔ Current CPR Certification
✔ Knowledge of infection prevention and control guidelines
✔ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
✔ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
✔ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced dental practice
- Experience with dental software and practice management systems
- Experience with digital radiography and charting
- Previous experience in a general dentistry setting
