About the Role
Adlib is seeking an experienced IT Systems Administrator to manage and support our internal technology environment. This role will cover a leave of absence and last approximately 12-14 months. This role is responsible for ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient IT services across the organization while contributing to cloud infrastructure, automation, and operational improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will have opportunities to work with Azure-based services, infrastructure automation, and modern operational practices alongside traditional IT administration responsibilities.
The ideal candidate is highly customer-focused, enjoys solving technical problems, and has a strong background in Microsoft technologies, endpoint management, networking, and enterprise infrastructure. You will play a key role in maintaining business-critical systems, supporting security initiatives, and helping modernize our internal technology environment.
What You'll Do
- Provide day-to-day help desk support and technical assistance to employees across the organization.
- Administer and support Microsoft 365 services including Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and endpoint management solutions.
- Manage user accounts, access controls, licensing, and identity management processes.
- Maintain Windows-based infrastructure including workstations, servers, enterprise applications, and related services.
- Support and administer networking infrastructure including firewalls, VPN connectivity, wireless networks, switching, and internet connectivity.
- Manage endpoint security, device compliance, patch management, and system monitoring.
- Partner with internal teams to maintain security standards, governance controls, and compliance requirements.
- Participate in infrastructure upgrades, system implementations, and technology improvement projects.
- Support business applications, collaboration platforms, and productivity tools.
- Contribute to documentation, knowledge management, and operational procedures.
- Support AI-related productivity tools and technology initiatives across the organization.
- Manage and support cloud-based infrastructure and services within Microsoft Azure.
- Assist with the administration and monitoring of containerized and cloud-native platforms.
- Contribute to infrastructure automation initiatives using scripting and infrastructure management tools.
- Support deployment processes, platform operations, and operational tooling used by the Cloud Operations team.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in systems administration, IT infrastructure, or enterprise support environments.
- Strong experience administering Microsoft 365 environments.
- Strong Windows systems administration experience.
- Experience supporting enterprise networking technologies including firewalls, VPNs, switching, and wireless infrastructure.
- Experience with endpoint management and security platforms.
- Experience administering Microsoft Azure services, including virtual machines, networking, storage, identity, or security services.
- Experience with PowerShell or other automation technologies is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with Linux systems or cloud infrastructure is considered an asset.
- Understanding of cybersecurity best practices, identity management, and compliance requirements.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with GitHub, source control practices, or infrastructure-as-code concepts is considered an asset.
- Exposure to containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD tooling, or platform operations is considered an asset.
