At Gateway Mechanical, we're hiring Journeyperson and 3rd/4th Year Apprentice Refrigeration Technicians who thrive under pressure and take pride in solving problems that others can't.
We're especially interested in technicians with supermarket refrigeration experience. The people who understand rack systems, store renovations, retrofits, commissioning, and the realities of working in live retail environments where downtime isn't an option.

Not everyone can manage a supermarket project while coordinating with multiple trades, tight deadlines, live stores, and demanding customers.

Diagnose problems quickly and accurately

Repair and maintain commercial and industrial HVACR systems

Install and retrofit refrigeration equipment

Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

Support supermarket refrigeration projects from install through commissioning

Complete digital documentation accurately and professionally

Build customer confidence through technical expertise and reliability

✅ Journeyperson Refrigeration Certification or Registered Apprentice
✅ Minimum 3+ years of refrigeration experience or strong apprentice progression
✅ Supermarket refrigeration project experience required
✅ Experience with rack systems, store remodels, retrofits, and commissioning
✅ Ability to participate in an on-call rotation
✅ Valid Class 5 Driver's License
