Belwood Lodge and Camp is a non-profit, OCA accredited summer camp for children, youth and adults with special needs. This includes but is not limited to intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities. Located in Belwood, Ontario, our camp offers an amazing and unique summer camp opportunity for individuals of all ages (7 - senior). We value the safety and comfort of all our lodgers (camp participants) and know the importance of the respite the caregivers receive while their family member is in our care.

We are currently hiring for the position of Kitchen staff. Belwood Lodge and Camp is looking to hire dedicated and reliable Kitchen staff to uphold and foster a positive environment in the kitchen. The Kitchen staff responsibilities include washing dishes, setting tables, sanitizing surfaces, emptying garbages, upkeeping of overall cleanliness in the kitchen and dish room, restocking supplies and organizing inventory. The Kitchen staff also assist the Cook with meal preparation as well as perform other duties as assigned by the Cook.
This is a seasonal, residential (live in) position, running from June 19th to August 28th 2026. The pay is bi-weekly with a salary of $500 per week. Room and board is provided by Belwood Lodge and Camp. There is also a $500 bonus for completion of the full contract.
Job Responsibilities
- Upkeeping of kitchen and dishroom cleanliness
- Washing dishes
- Cleaning and sanitizing dining room before and after meals
- Refilling condiments
- Restocking cleaning supplies
- Build and foster a positive and inclusive environment for both lodgers and staff
Job requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- A positive mindset
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Safe Food Handling Course completion
- Kitchen experience is an asset
- Successful completion of a Vulnerable Sector Check is mandatory
