Full-Time, AZ Short-Haul Driver
Position Available – Perth, ON
JOB DESCRIPTION: AZ Short-Haul Driver
Job summary: This position has several functions including but not limited to: Shunting of trailers, short haul TL to Wills customers in the Eastern Ontario, and ensuring the tractor and any accompanying trailers are in good working order and that the equipment is operated safely at all times. You may be asked to do new tasks as they are presented and therefore you are required to be flexible in this position.
Required KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- License as required by the Ontario Ministry of Transportation
- AZ Driver in good standing
- Clean Drug Test (including cannabis)
- Workplace safety training such as WHMIS
- TDG training
- A proficiency in Math and English
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an AZ driver/Shunter
- Desired experience in warehouse or related industry experience.
- Standing, walking and manual lifting products (up to 50 lbs) is required.
- A positive attitude, and team player
- Ability to follow directions
- Willingness to learn
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized working area
OTHER Information
- Typical shift runs from 7:00 am until 5:00 pm, with on-call coverage until 7:00 pm. No overnights or long-hauls.
- Full benefits after 90 days of employment.
- Ability to pass a drug test.
- Ability to receive minimum Security clearance
- Compensation - $25.50/hr moving to $25.80/hr after 3 months
