MLS Management is a locally owned and operated company who owns and operates hotels including the Quality Inn, Winn City Neighbourhood Pub, Craft Beer Market. We are looking for an experienced manager to help run a successful operation. Shifts are evenings, including weekends and holidays.

This role will include overseeing the one of the busiest beer vendors and VLT lounges in the city of Winnipeg, a full service hotel with modern and comfortable amenities and one of the busiest lounges in the south end of the city. With a friendly and service-oriented environment, this full service hotel is looking for a Assistant General Manager to deliver the vision and mission statement of the hotel, as well as uphold the corporate culture that's been built.
The Manager will anticipate the needs and exceed the expectations of the ownership group, guests and employees by achieving profitability and customer service goals, all while providing their employees with an exceptional place to work.
The Assistant General Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the overall operations and strategic initiatives of the organization. This leadership position involves collaborating closely with the General Manager to ensure efficient daily operations, uphold quality standards, and foster a positive environment for staff and customers. This position is responsible for assisting in decision-making, managing team performance, and implementing company policies to drive growth and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Oversee and manage the Quality Inn under the Choice brand standards
Oversee and manage The Craft Beer Market
Oversee and manage Winn City Pub and VLT lounge
Build, develop and improve upon hospitality standards and initiatives.
Promote and safe, secure, and healthy facility by establishing, following and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures
- Support the General Manager in overseeing daily business operations across departments.
- Supervise staff performance, provide coaching, and facilitate professional development opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Manage customer relations, address concerns promptly, and promote excellent service standards.
- Assist in labour analyzing labour efficiencies, inventory management, and resource allocation to optimize profitability.
- Lead by example to foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and accountability.
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training new employees as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years in restaurant or hotel management experience
Food and beverage experience in a busy environment in the hospitality industry is essential
Posses an excellent customer service attitude and enjoy building relationships
Hands on manager who leads by example
Though not required, a post secondary degree is an asset
- Proven experience in management or supervisory roles within a related industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to analyze data, solve problems, and make informed decisions quickly.
- Knowledge of operational procedures, safety protocols, and industry regulations.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively under pressure.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
