Job Summary
Overview
Inuit TV is the Inuktut-language educational broadcaster for the Territory of Nunavut and serves 1.6 million subscribers across Canada. Our mission is to provide high quality Inuit language and cultural television to the people of Inuit Nunangat and Canada.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for Scheduling the Inuit TV Network Programming, Reporting on the channels activity with the CRTC and working with the internal Executive team on the direction of programming for the channel. Acquiring new programing with independent producers and partner organizations. Overseeing the scheduling team for the Channel and Streaming service.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing programming acquisition and scheduling processes for the Organization;
- Coordinating with internal teams and external content providers regarding programming acquisition, scheduling and related operational matters;
- Supporting the Organization’s mandate, including programming serving Inuit communities and programming in Inuit languages; and
- Supporting the sustainability and development of funding and other relationships relevant to the Organization’s programming activities, where appropriate to the Employee’s role.
- Analyze viewership data and market trends to inform acquisition decisions.
- Interpret content descriptions, scripts, and licensing agreements accurately for effective decision-making.
- Work with the internal teams to promote new programming launches effectively.
- Maintain detailed records of all acquisitions, licensing terms, and scheduling plans.
Skills
- Proficiency in Broadview Scheduling software
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with internal teams, external partners, and licensors.
- Excellent writing skills for drafting proposals, licensing agreements, and promotional materials.
- Interpretation skills for understanding content descriptions, licensing documents, and market insights across languages.
- Financial Experience to negotiate execute and report on Licensing deals with our financial and legal teams
- Strategic thinking combined with analytical skills to assess market trends and viewer preferences.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
This Position reports directly to the CEO.

Pay: $80,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
