Under the authority of the Fabrication & Maintenance Supervisor, the Pattern Maker will be responsible for the following duties:
- Ensure all work performed complies with current manuals and specifications, Avianor directives, engineering drawings, and the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs).
- Prepare and cut Velcro, various types of fabrics, and leather materials using patterns for assembly purposes.
- Mark components and materials to be sewn.
- Operate sewing department equipment and machinery.
- Create patterns from existing samples or approved engineering data.
- Assist Production with aircraft seat upholstery installation and covering.
- Follow all company policies and processes related to assigned duties.
- Perform self-inspections to maintain a high level of quality.
- Complete all required work documentation in accordance with company procedures.
- Maintain work equipment in good operating condition and keep it clean.
- Keep the work area clean and organized at all times.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
