We are currently seeking a Structural Engineer to join our team.
Role Description
We are seeking a dedicated Structural Engineer for a full-time hybrid role based in Halifax, NS or St. John’s NL with flexible work-from-home options. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading structural work on both marine and land-based projects, designing structures supporting energy infrastructures, and performing and reviewing engineering calculations. Key duties also include using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools to prepare detailed project drawings and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project goals are met on time and to high standards.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Structural Analysis and Structural Engineering.
- Strong skills in Civil Engineering principles and practices.
- Expertise in performing detailed engineering Calculations.
- Experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools and software.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for multidisciplinary teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation, or eligibility to obtain it, is preferred.
- Experience in the wind, petroleum, or renewable energy sector and knowledge of marine and renewable energy systems is a strong asset.
