Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our healthcare team for a 12 week contract. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a medical clinic environments. This role involves working closely with patients of all ages, including seniors, children, and individuals requiring specialized care such as dementia, hospice, or pain management. The RPN will utilize their expertise in nursing procedures, medication administration, and patient assessment to support optimal health outcomes. Experience with electronic health records such as PS SUITE is preferred. Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in a family medicine clinic setting.
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols while ensuring patient safety.
- Perform clinical procedures such as injections, wound care, and health management counselling.
- Monitor patient vital signs and assess health status regularly to identify changes requiring intervention.
- Document patient information accurately using electronic health record systems PS SUITE.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding health conditions, medication use, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards at all times.
- Support case management efforts by coordinating services and resources for complex patient needs.
Experience
- Proven experience in nursing within a clinical setting.
- Familiarity with vaccination schedules and vaccine administration
- Experience working with pediatric populations is advantageous.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and proficiency in using electronic medical records is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills along with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team are essential for success in this role.
Pay: $26.00-$31.50 per hour
