Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant CDA II to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with dental procedures, and ensuring smooth office operations. Experience with dental software such as Dentrix, as well as knowledge of orthodontics, implants, and medical terminology, will be highly valued. Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments in accordance with infection control protocols
- Assist the dentist during various procedures including orthodontic and surgical treatments
- Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when necessary
- Manage patient records accurately using dental software Dentrix
- Provide patient education on oral health care and post-treatment instructions
- Handle administrative duties including scheduling appointments and managing patient check-in/check-out processes as a dental receptionist
- Ensure patient comfort and address any concerns throughout their visit
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment in compliance with OSHA standards
Requirements
- Valid Dental Assistant CDA II certification and HARP certification
- Proven experience with dental assisting
- Proficiency in dental software such as Dentrix is highly desirable
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry
- Familiarity with CAD imaging technology is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with patients of all ages
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience working as a dental receptionist is advantageous
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of infection control and patient confidentiality
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
