Graydon Hall Manor is a boutique event venue established to produce sophisticated receptions with an uncompromising attention to detail. Available exclusively for special events, we host corporate meetings, wedding receptions, and social events for 50–200 guests at both lunch and dinner service.
Job Description
We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic, and experienced Service Supervisor. A qualified applicant will have a resume reflecting fine dining experience alongside demonstrated leadership ability. The ideal candidate brings management experience from a similar environment, with best practices in guest service, staff management, operations, safety, and compliance. This is a floor-based role requiring schedule flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Foster an inclusive, motivating environment built on teamwork, empowerment, and a genuine passion for service.
- Lead by example in guest relations, setting the standard for the front-of-house team and continuously elevating service quality.
- Take ownership of client, guest, and employee concerns, responding quickly and proactively.
- Manage and mentor wait staff, providing consistent guidance and support.
- Oversee all food service and venue operations on event days, ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ensure all event paperwork is completed and submitted to the Event Manager.
- Cultivate strong working relationships with the kitchen and sales teams.
- Assist management as needed.
Qualifications
- 5 years experience in a banquet hall setting, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or managerial role
- 1 year fine dining experience (preferred)
- Smart Serve certified
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Fluent in English
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift and carry 40+ lbs
Salary
Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
