Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Cutter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately cutting materials according to specifications outlined in blueprints and project plans. This role requires a strong attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate various tools and equipment safely and efficiently. The Cutter will work closely with other team members to ensure that all materials meet quality standards and project timelines.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine cutting specifications.
- Operate heavy equipment and power tools for cutting concrete.
- Perform precise measurements and calculations to ensure accurate cuts.
- Utilize hand tools effectively for detailed work and adjustments.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with other team members on installation projects, ensuring materials are cut correctly for flooring installation or other applications.
- Conduct routine maintenance on cutting equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Requirements
- Proven 1-5 experience in a similar role with a strong understanding of cutting techniques and material properties.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading is essential for interpreting project specifications.
- Familiarity with masonry work is a plus, as well as experience in forming and concrete finishing.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely; certification may be required depending on the equipment used.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using power tools and hand tools effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to perform tasks accurately under pressure.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Class 5 license and own transportation is required.
