On behalf of our manufacturing client, located in the Oakville/ Milton region we are seeking a Commercial Contracts Compliance & Risk Supervisor to oversee the entire lifecycle of business-to-business (B2B) agreements to minimize financial liability, prevent operational disruptions, and eliminate regulatory vulnerabilities. This role combines strict compliance auditing with proactive risk management, directing a team to evaluate contract terms, manage corporate insurance requirements, and protect the organization from commercial exposure.
Key Responsibilities
- Risk Identification & Mitigation: Review and evaluate commercial agreements (MSAs, SOWs, NDAs) to identify high-risk indemnification clauses, unfavorable limitations of liability, and severe non-performance penalties
- Compliance Auditing: Lead routine audits on active vendor and client contracts to ensure strict adherence to delivery milestones, pricing models, and service level agreements (SLAs)
- Insurance & Liability Verification: Oversee the collection, verification, and tracking of vendor Certificates of Insurance (COIs) to ensure third-party coverage meets corporate risk thresholds.
- Dispute & Breach Management: Investigate potential contract breaches, quantify financial or operational exposure, and collaborate with internal legal counsel to execute remediation strategies.
- Risk Reporting & Analytics: Develop and maintain risk registers, contract risk scoring matrices, and compliance dashboards for executive leadership.
- CLM Oversight: Manage the company's Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system to ensure accurate data entry, risk tier tagging, and proactive renewal or termination alerting.
- Team Supervision: Direct, train, and evaluate the performance of contract analysts, risk coordinators, and compliance specialists.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commercial Law, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
- Experience: 5–7 years of experience in corporate commercial contracts, enterprise risk management (ERM), or procurement compliance within an industrial/manufacturing setting.
- Certifications: Professional credentials such as Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM), Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM), or Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS-CRMP) are highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency with enterprise CLM platforms (e.g., Ironclad, Icertis, Conga) and integrated risk management (IRM) or GRC software.

Pay: $110,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
