Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Team Leader/Supervisor to motivate and oversee a dynamic team responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency. In this role, you will lead by example, coordinate daily tasks, the Landscaping & Snow Removal Team Lead is responsible for supervising daily operations, leading a crew, and ensuring all landscaping and snow removal services are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. This role requires strong leadership, hands-on experience with landscaping equipment, and the ability to work in varying weather conditions. Key ResponsibilitiesLandscaping (Spring, Summer & Fall)
- Lead and supervise a landscaping crew on residential and commercial properties.
- Assign daily tasks and ensure work is completed on schedule.
- Perform lawn mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, planting, mulching, and seasonal clean-ups.
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers, and other tools.
- Ensure properties meet company quality standards and customer expectations.
- Train and mentor new employees on proper landscaping techniques and safety procedures.
- Communicate with supervisors and clients regarding job progress and any site concerns.
- Complete daily job reports and equipment inspections.
Snow Removal (Winter)
- Lead snow removal crews during snow events.
- Operate snow blowers, plow trucks, skid steers, loaders, and salting equipment as required.
- Coordinate timely snow and ice removal to maintain safe access for clients.
- Monitor weather forecasts and respond to snow events on-call, including overnight, early morning, weekends, and holidays.
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and ready for deployment.
- Apply de-icing materials according to company procedures and environmental guidelines.
Leadership Responsibilities
- Supervise, motivate, and support crew members.
- Promote a positive, safe, and productive work environment.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and health and safety regulations.
- Conduct quality inspections and address performance issues when necessary.
- Assist with scheduling, crew assignments, and productivity improvements.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in landscaping and snow removal.
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Valid driver's licence (clean driving record preferred).
- Experience operating landscaping and snow removal equipment.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and perform physically demanding work.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Knowledge of equipment maintenance and workplace safety practices.
