Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Plastics Injection Moulding set-up technician to join our team. The plastics injection moulding technician will be responsible for the mold changes, set-ups and start-ups. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of injection molding machines, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mould changes, set-ups and start-ups of moulding machines and secondary products.
- Organize and schedule production of injection moulded products.
- Responsible for maintaining high quality level of parts and minimizing scrap levels.
- Responsible for production troubleshooting.
- Responsible for the testing of new materials and products.
- Receive raw materials.
- Maintain inventory levels for production and collaborate with purchasing.
- Maintain production quality standards and ensure compliance with QMS standards.
- Enter labour tickets on computer system and document any process changes.
- Operate forklift.
- Provide assistance to plant manager and other supervisors as needed.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years experience as a plastics injection moulding technician or similar role in an industrial setting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong English communication skills and teamwork abilities.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects, stand, and work in various positions for extended periods.
- Forklift certification.
