We currently have a few Vintner’s Evening Server positions available at the Coast Capri Hotel.
A Vintner’s Evening Server is responsible for providing guests an authentic and outstanding dining experience through attentive, efficient, and friendly service. Excellent standards are expected and this is achieved by conducting yourself with honesty, integrity, friendliness and professionalism while having a total commitment to the guest. The ideal candidate for this position is friendly, detail-oriented, and able to handle the physical demands of the job
A successful candidate will be required to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create an exemplary dining experience through gracious guest service and menu knowledge
- Greet and welcome guests, show them to their table, and present menus and features of the day
- Prepare beverage orders including a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
- Provide exceptional customer service to guests by clearly communicating and resolving challenges to ensure guest satisfaction
- Accurately complete daily cashout, close bills to cash, credit card & room charges and maintain compliance with payment handling policies
- Participate in cleaning and organizing duties during shift changes and/or quiet times
- Engage with guests and the kitchen team to better understand products, needs and sales opportunities
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skill Requirements:
- Required to work various shifts including evenings, weekends and statutory holidays
- Must hold a valid Serving It Right™ Certificate
- Good knowledge of wines (especially BC wines), liquor & beer products is a requirement
- Bartending experience an asset
- Must be able to be on your feet for extended periods and able to perform tasks with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) when interacting with guests and employees both internally and externally
- Required to work various shifts including evenings, weekends and statutory holidays
