We’re looking for a design-savvy, detailed, blueprint-blackbelt to join our Commercial Sales Team. This is part interior design, part project coordination, and part “make things happen” support role.
The Role:
This role blends interior design, estimation, project coordination, and team support—perfect for someone organized, creative, and proactive. It's ideal for someone interested in not only making a space beautiful through design, but helping to keep the details organized to bring commercial spaces to life—from concept through to completion.
You’ll work alongside project managers, estimators, installers and clients to help select flooring and tile, build out design concepts, and keep projects moving.

Red Deer Carpet One Floor & Home has been helping Central Albertans make their homes and businesses beautiful for almost 50 years. We are a family-owned company providing flooring, tile, countertops, paint, wallpaper, blinds, and more - and we install and service all our products. Our commercial team takes on projects from office buildings to cafes to retail shops, apartment buildings and hospitals.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assist with flooring + tile + wallcoverings product selection
- Create moodboards (IRL and Virtual) and design concepts
- Help with layouts and take-offs from blueprints
- Support estimating and project setup
- Coordinate samples with suppliers and clients
- Help prep spec packages, maintenance guides & warranties
- Run occasional errands to job sites
- Meet with product reps and stay current on trends
- Pitch in on general admin & Excel-based tasks
What We’re Looking For
- Strong eye for colour, design, and detail
- Valid driver’s license (required)
- Organized, reliable, and able to multitask
- Professional and comfortable working with clients
- Ability to laugh convincingly at coworkers' jokes
Nice to have:
- Experience with Excel
- Ability to read blueprints
- Background in design, construction, or a related field
- A good playlist for the shared office soundtrack
