Operations Coordinator

Treads West Inc. is seeking a highly organized and hands-on Operations Coordinator to help manage the movement of customer tires through our retread production process as well as day to day management of our operating system (Inventory Control / Sales Analysis). This role is a 75% office / 25% yard position and is ideal for someone who enjoys both coordination and working directly with product in the yard and on the production floor.
The successful candidate will act as the link between receipting, stock levels, production, and shipping, ensuring that customer orders move efficiently through the plant and that completed orders ship accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities
Receipting & Inventory Control
- Review incoming tire shipments and verify quantities and customer information
- Ensure tires are properly identified, dated, and entered into the system
- Maintain accurate records to ensure tires can be quickly located when scheduled for production
Order Flow & Production Coordination
- Ensure orders are processed efficiently and fully completed prior to freighting
- Identify and track lags within the production line and coordinate their movement to maintain order completeness
- Communicate with production manager / general manager to keep orders moving and minimize delays
Shipping & Order Accuracy
- Coordinate outbound freight and ensure all tires are accounted for and properly staged for pickup
- Assist with loading and verifying outbound shipments when required
Operation Systems
- Ensure inventory levels are appropriate to meet production schedule
- Verify and monitor sales information
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the tire industry or retread manufacturing is strongly preferred
- Ability to identify different tire brands, makes, and casing types
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work both in an office environment and in an outdoor yard setting
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
- Good communication skills with both office staff and production teams
- Intermediate computer skills for inventory and order tracking
