Triad Mechanical Services is looking for a reliable, mechanically inclined Valve Technician to join our Sarnia team. Previous valve-repair experience is strongly preferred; however, we will consider candidates with strong mechanical aptitude, a safety-first mindset, and willingness to learn.
This is a hands-on role involving shop-based valve repair and occasional onsite shutdown work.

Responsibilities
- Disassemble, inspect, clean, repair, assemble, and test industrial valves
- Assist with pressure-relief valve, control valve, and general valve repair work
- Read work orders, identify components, and accurately complete repair documentation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Assist with receiving, staging, and moving customer equipment
- Travel to customer sites for shutdowns, repairs, inspections, and service work as required
- Follow all company safety procedures and customer-site requirements
Hours and Travel
Regular shop hours are generally Monday to Friday; however, onsite shutdown work may require evening, overnight, and weekend hours outside the regular 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m. schedule.
Candidates must be willing and able to travel for onsite work when required.
Qualifications
- Valve repair or industrial mechanical experience is an asset
- Mechanical aptitude is required
- Experience in industrial maintenance, millwright work, pumps, piping, steam systems, or related mechanical work is an asset
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, measuring tools, and basic shop equipment
- Able to follow procedures, work independently, and contribute positively to a team
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices
Physical Requirements
This role requires the ability to:
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work in physically demanding positions for extended periods
- Work outdoors in all seasons and in industrial environments that may be hot, noisy, dusty, or dirty
- Safely wear required personal protective equipment
