JOB SUMMARY
As a GreenGold Construction Ltd. Site Supervisor, you will orchestrate all operations on-site and establish good rapport with the Project Manager, the President, and the client. You will be responsible for directing our on-site employees, subcontractors, other construction-related personnel. Your main focus is to orchestrate all the components of a new build, directing and executing work according to the project plan, ensuring we stay on schedule. Site Supervisors MUST maintain a safe work environment and show professionalism at all times, to enhance and maintain GreenGold Construction Ltd. standards. This is a hands-on position and requires extensive knowledge in residential construction. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with extensive experience managing high-end residential construction projects, ensuring quality, timelines, and budgets are met while maintaining excellent client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Oversight and Site Management:
- Oversee day-to-day construction site operations, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Lead all site activities, including work performed by trades, subcontractors, and laborers.
- Monitor and enforce safety protocols in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Standards (OHSA).
- Scheduling and Coordination:
- Develop and manage construction schedules to ensure timely project delivery.
- Coordinate closely with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to meet project milestones.
- Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, delays, or issues.
- Quality Control:
- Maintain high standards of craftsmanship and construction quality throughout all phases.
- Conduct regular inspections of work to ensure alignment with architectural and engineering plans.
- Collaborate with designers and architects to resolve discrepancies or changes effectively.
- Client Relations and Communication:
- Serve as the primary on-site liaison with clients, architects, and project managers.
- Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders regarding project progress and challenges.
- Address client concerns professionally, ensuring their expectations are exceeded.
- Team Leadership and Supervision:
- Supervise, mentor, and manage site personnel, fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability.
- Conduct toolbox talks, performance evaluations, and provide hands-on support to trades as needed.
- Budget and Materials Management:
- Monitor material orders, deliveries, and inventory to minimize waste and costs.
- Ensure accurate documentation of site activities, including daily logs, change orders, and progress reports.
- Track expenses and resource utilization to align with project budgets.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
- Experience: Minimum of 8+ years in residential construction, specifically in custom luxury homes.
- Education: A diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field is an asset.
- Certifications: Valid certifications in WHMIS, Working at Heights, First Aid, and familiarity with OHSA regulations.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in construction project software, scheduling tools (e.g., ProCore), and blueprint interpretation.
- Leadership: Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Proven experience in leading diverse teams and subcontractors.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a client-centric approach.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to work on-site in varying conditions and perform physical site-related tasks as needed.
- Other: A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
