Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Maki / Sushi Chef to join our vibrant restaurant team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, sushi rolling, and food safety practices. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase culinary talents in a dynamic environment dedicated to authentic Japanese cuisine. Candidates should be committed to delivering exceptional food service and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble sushi, including maki rolls, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with precision and artistry
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and handled according to food safety standards
- Assist in the preparation of other menu items as needed, including basic cooking and meal assembly
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station and kitchen area
- Follow all food handling protocols to ensure a safe dining experience for guests
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent customer service and efficient food delivery
- Adhere to restaurant policies regarding health, safety, and sanitation regulations
Skills
- Proven experience in serving, food preparation, or kitchen roles within the food industry or restaurant environment
- Familiarity with food handling safety standards and proper sanitation procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork orientation
- Knowledge of food industry best practices related to meal preparation and food safety standards
- Experience in cooking or food service is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level candidates willing to learn
- Time : Monday-Thursday 10-6pm. (can be a little flexible)
- Must have some experiences in making make rolls
