Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our small family business as soon as possible. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting portable restrooms safely and efficiently as well as servicing restrooms in various locations across the Region of Waterloo and greater area while ensuring compliance with all safety regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of vehicle operation and customer service.
We have both a part-time and a full-time position available. Days and hours of work can be flexible as long as the cleaning route and/or deliveries and pick ups are completed. Opportunities for overtime available. Please indicate if you are interested in part-time or full-time work in your resume.
Duties
- Operate heavy trucks and equipment for the transportation of portable restrooms. DZ license an asset as we also offer septic pump outs, repairs and installation.
- Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
- Ensure that all cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and any incidents.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
- Communicate effectively regarding cleaning route and with customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Manual labour to load and unload portable restrooms, manage hoses to clean units, pump out waste and dispose of waste.
Skills
- Proficient in heavy equipment operation with a focus on commercial driving.
- Experience in transportation with a strong understanding of logistics.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.
