Ardel Steel was founded in 1980, focusing on primarily on the home building market, eventually growing to have a focus on industrial and commercial markets. With the customers being the focus of everything we do we have obtained a solid reputation in the fabrication, distribution and installation of reinforcing steel and related products in Saskatchewan. Position Summary
We are looking for a full-time permanent CAD Technologist / Rebar Detailer, who will be reporting directly to the Sales Manager. In this position the CAD Technologist is responsible creating clear and accurate rebar placement drawings, coordinate with key external stakeholders, and submitting orders to production team. Further responsibilities are:
- Provide 2D drawings in AutoCAD
- Ensure materials and time allocation are within estimated parameters of projects
- Administration of miscellaneous parts of contracts
- Plan and coordinate product delivery dates with external clients
What You’ll Need
- Training and working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Construction (civil, concrete) related experience is preferred
- Ability to interpret blueprints
- Customer service focus
- Interpersonal communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to be organized while working on multiple projects
- Ability to apply the correct mathematical methods and formulas
