Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Tools Distribution Route Driver / Sales Associate to join our team. Duties
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver tools and equipment along designated routes
- Provide outstanding customer service by assisting clients with product inquiries and ensuring timely deliveries
- Upsell additional products or services to meet client needs and increase sales revenue
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, sales transactions, and inventory levels
- Merchandize products effectively at customer locations to maximize visibility and sales opportunities
- Handle heavy lifting of tools and equipment during loading, unloading, and delivery processes
- Manage pricing information, discounts, and billing details accurately during transactions
- Organize daily routes efficiently to optimize delivery times and route coverage
- Communicate regularly with the office team regarding route updates, customer feedback, and inventory needs
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Strong communication skills for engaging with customers and team members
- Experience in upselling, sales, or customer service preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds or more)
- Excellent organizational skills for managing routes and inventory
- Basic math skills for handling pricing, billing, and inventory counts
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques to enhance product presentation at client sites
- Strong interpersonal skills with a professional appearance and demeanor
- Reliable transportation for commuting to the distribution center if not provided by the company
