Project Coordinator – Job Description
The Project Coordinator is responsible for creating and managing Bills of Materials (BOMs) and supporting the coordination of technical project requirements. The role involves selecting components for industrial burner systems, gas/oil valve trains, electrical control panels, automation systems, and related combustion equipment based on electrical/mechanical designs, customer specifications, and applicable codes.
The Project Coordinator will collaborate closely with the Purchasing Department to order parts and maintain appropriate inventory levels, as well as with the Production Manager to support production planning.
Responsibilities
- Review technical project specifications, wiring schematics, and mechanical layout drawings to identify required components and materials.
- Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and project pick lists.
- Identify long lead-time items and develop strategies for advance ordering.
- Collaborate with Sales and Engineering teams to track project status and progress.
- Communicate with external suppliers and vendors regarding technical product requirements.
- Work with the Production Manager and Purchasing to ensure timely ordering of parts and proper stock levels.
Qualifications
- College diploma or degree in an electrical field (Electrical Engineering Technician/Technologist preferred).
- Strong understanding of electrical fundamentals (e.g., motor power supply, protection sizing, fuse selection, automation concepts).
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD required; Autodesk Inventor is an asset.
- Experience in the combustion industry is a strong asset.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Sage/Accpac, SAP) is an asset.

Pay: $75,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
