WellMaster Pumps is the highest-reviewed well pump and water treatment company on Vancouver Island, serving residential homeowners, builders, commercial clients, and small water systems across Southern Vancouver Island. We're growing and looking for a skilled, career-oriented technician to join our small team. What you'll do:
- Install deep and shallow well pumps and submersible systems
- Service, install, and repair water treatment equipment — filtration, softeners, GAC systems, UV, RO systems, Chemical Injection, and more
- Troubleshoot pump and water system faults independently in the field
- Conduct rigging and crane operations as required
- Assess systems and make honest upgrade recommendations that are in the customer's best interest
- Travel to Gulf Islands and other remote locations for multi-day jobs — overtime applies
- Document work accurately and communicate clearly with the office and homeowners
- Occasionally work Saturdays during peak periods
Some jobs take us to islands and remote sites across the region. These trips involve longer days and overnight stays — all overtime hours are paid. Candidates should be comfortable with occasional travel away from home.
Required Qualifications:
- Well pump installer ticket or equivalent demonstrated experience (3+ years)
- Background in plumbing, electrical, or water treatment — any combination considered
- Valid BC driver's licence
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
- Comfortable working in remote locations and varying site conditions
- Able to work independently and manage a job site without supervision
Bonus Assets:
- Well pump FSR ticket
- Plumbing trade certification
- EOCP Small Water Systems operator certification
- CWQA Certified Water Technician (CWT)
- Crane or rigging operator certification
- Welding experience
Compensation & Growth:
- $30–$45 per hour based on experience
