Our team is collaborative, hands-on, and focused on delivering exceptional guest experiences.The OpportunityWe are seeking a Senior Accountant (0.6 FTE) to take ownership of core accounting functions across two companies: Tyax Lodge & Heliskiing and Tyax Real Estate (TRE LTD).This is a high-ownership role with clear expectations around accuracy, timeliness, and financial visibility. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for core accounting deliverables and operate with a high degree of independence.This role is based in our Pemberton office, with periodic time at Tyax Lodge, and is well suited to someone who values flexibility, autonomy, and working across a dynamic, multi-faceted business.Key ResponsibilitiesCore responsibilities include:Own full-cycle accounting across two companiesDeliver accurate monthly financial reporting on a consistent scheduleOversee accounts payable, receivable, and payrollLead budgeting and track departmental performance against planBuild and maintain budgeting tools for department leadsDevelop and maintain rolling cash flow forecastsEnsure compliance with tax and reporting requirements (GST, PST, payroll, etc.)Track and support capital project financialsAdditional responsibilities include:Support operational reconciliation (F&B, guest services)What Success Looks LikeMonthly financials are accurate and delivered on timePayroll and core accounting functions run consistently without errorsClear visibility into cash flow and upcoming financial needsDepartment leaders have simple, usable budgeting toolsFinancial issues are identified early and communicated clearlyWhat We’re Looking ForBachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experienceStrong understanding of full-cycle accounting and payrollExperience with budgeting, reporting, and reconciliationsHighly organized, detail-oriented, and self-directedComfortable working with a high degree of autonomyExperience in hospitality, tourism, or multi-revenue environments is an assetThis role is best suited to someone who has previously owned accounting responsibilities independently and is comfortable working with minimal supervision.CompensationFTE salary range of $70,000 – $85,000 annually, pro-rated to 0.6 FTEFinal compensation will reflect experience, demonstrated ownership of similar responsibilities, and ability to operate independently.Why This RoleFlexible part-time structure (0.6 FTE)High level of ownership and autonomyOpportunity to work across a unique, multi-faceted businessCollaborative team environmentWork connected to a world-class wilderness operation
