Job Overview
Canadian Bavarian Millwork & Lumber Ltd. is looking for a reliable, hard-working General Labourer / Machine Operator to join our production team. This hands-on role supports manufacturing operations by operating equipment, handling materials, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and contributing to a safe and efficient workplace.

Responsibilities
- Operate production equipment safely and efficiently.
- Handle, sort, stack, and move wood products throughout the facility.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas.
- Support machine operators and production crews as needed.
- Perform quality checks and report defects or concerns.
- Follow company safety procedures, policies, and work instructions.
- Assist with general housekeeping and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment.
Qualifications
- Ability to safely perform physical work, including lifting, carrying, stacking, and moving materials throughout the shift.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to follow instructions, safe work procedures, and production standards.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Comfortable working around industrial equipment and in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to workplace safety and maintaining a clean, organized work area.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, sawmill or woodworking environment is an asset.
- Lumber grading or wood-products inspection experience is considered an asset.
- Forklift certification and/or experience operating forklifts is considered an asset.
- Machine operation experience is an asset; training will be provided for the right candidate.
Compensation
Canadian Bavarian Millwork + Lumber is a "Living Wage BC" certified employer. Starting at $23/hour - rising to $25/hour after a 3-month probation.
