Overview
We are seeking an experienced Lead Tire Technician to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical skills, dealership experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves leading tire and automotive repairs, mentoring junior technicians, and ensuring high-quality workmanship in a fast-paced environment. The Lead Tire Tech will play a vital role in maintaining safety standards and operational efficiency while providing outstanding service to our customers.
Duties
- Lead and perform tire installations, rotations, balancing, and repairs with precision and efficiency
- Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections related to tires and basic automotive systems
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete repairs and maintenance tasks
- Assist with automotive repair work beyond tires, including basic mechanical repairs and maintenance
- Ensure all work meets safety standards and quality expectations
- Mentor and supervise junior technicians, providing guidance on technical procedures and safety protocols
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
- Engage with customers to explain services, answer questions, and promote additional sales opportunities
- Assist in inventory management of tools, parts, and supplies
Requirements
- Proven dealership or automotive repair shop experience as a Tire Technician or Mechanic
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and tire-related components
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment effectively
- Ability to lift heavy tires or equipment safely (heavy lifting required)
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients
- Knowledge of automotive repair procedures beyond tires is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in a team environment while managing multiple tasks
- Mechanical aptitude with a focus on quality workmanship and safety standards
Pay: $26.00-$31.49 per hour
